Galaxy massage Chair review by Nitika Sachdev
My first impression of Vivacare Galaxy massage chair is that it is a really nice chair. I was very impressed with the look and quality of the chair. After sitting down, I have to say the chair is pretty comfortable. The remote looked a little overwhelming at first, but after cycling through some buttons, it was actually fairly easy to use. Let’s take a quick look at some of the Galaxy’s top features.

I first started off by clicking on the auto programs. The Galaxy has 5 auto programs to choose from: Relax, Extend, Zero Gravity, Neck Shoulder and Back Waist. These programs are created to provide both a relaxing and refreshing massage. The Galaxy uses a combination of massage styles, airbag compression, zero gravity recline, as well as a foot massage to deliver a customized massage.
Zero Gravity Program
The Galaxy, zero gravity functions. Zero gravity is when the massage chair reclines and the seat rises up about 30 degrees. This elevates the knees above the heart which promotes circulation, and increases relaxation.
This is an auto program definitely worth noting anyway. The extend program is really stretching the program, the Galaxy has a unique feature in which the airbags in the shoulder region actually pin the front of the shoulders in place allowing for a nice deep stretch. This stretch program reclines back and forth, as well as the ottoman goes up and down delivering a full body stretch. This is absolutely wonderful, and if you’re looking for a chair specifically for a good stretch, then you definitely need to check out this massage chair.
Manual Massage Techniques
In addition to the auto programs, the Galaxy massage chair has a wide variety of massage techniques to choose from. The Galaxy has Tapping, Knocking, Pummel, Shiatsu, kneading music sync. You can cycle through these on the remote by hitting the “mode” button repeatedly. To customize your massage further, you can hit the “part” button to focus on different regions of your back, or pause the massage in a certain problem area. You can even make micro adjustments to pinpoint exact areas. Also, the airbags and foot rollers can be turned on and off during the massage, and the intensity adjusted as well. Now, that we have reviewed some of the programs and massage techniques, let’s take a look at some of the other features.
The Galaxy has an extra-large air massage system. It has 64 airbags that massage the neck & shoulders, hips, arms & wrists, legs and the soles of the feet. The airbags give a compression massage, which helps promote circulation of blood and lymph flow, as well as relaxation.
Another great feature on most Infinity’s massage chairs are the foot rollers. This is a feature that we see on a handful of massage chairs, and is a necessity for some. The Galaxy comes with 3D airbag and uses three roller foot roller that massages the bottoms of your feet. This provides a nice intense massage with realistic massage experience, which is great if you’re on your feet all day.
